The Journey of Dr. Anahita Abdehou at Advacne Family and Cosmetic Dentistry - Rosedale Maryland

Anahita Abdehou, DDS

A Maryland resident for over two decades, Dr. Anahita Abdehou is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After dental school, she completed a one-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland dental school and has been in private practice in Maryland ever since. She is the former president of the WIDS. She is also board certified with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

As the leader of her highly trained team, Dr. Abdehou realizes the need for a comprehensive and integrative approach to matters of health. Her personal commitment to well-being is carried through her treatment plans for each and every patient, many of whom travel long distances for their oral hygiene needs. Taking care of her patients' priorities, done in the "best way possible", is what sets Dr. Abdehou apart.

Dr. Abdehou is committed to advanced continuing education. She stays current with technological advances through post-graduate training at The Pankey Institute and specialized courses and master training in aesthetic and clinical care. She has extensive training in Biomimetic dentistry, TMJ therapy, obstructive sleep apnea therapy with oral appliances and is an Invisalign® provider.

She is currently a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, Maryland Sleep Study, Dawson Study Club, Pankey Study Club and the Maryland State Dental Association.

Her mission and philosophy is service to the community, treating patients with respect, kindness and compassion. She also gets much satisfaction from donating her time to the local Catholic Center Dental Clinic.

Dr. Abdehou is married with two children. She is deeply invested in preserving natural resources, and community leaderships. In her free time, she likes to spin, take power yoga classes, swim Olympic-sized laps, and travel the world. Her positive and constructive approach is what she takes from her everyday life and invests in each and every treatment plan in her practice.

Leila Navab, DDS

Meet our dedicated dentist, Dr. Leila Navab, who strongly believes in the importance of a "one-patient-at-a-time" style of practice and is committed to allocating a portion of each patient's visit to listening, examining, and providing options that align with each patient's desires as well as their specific needs.Graduating in 2012, she honed her skills through collaboration and training with specialists in the fields of prosthodontics, periodontics, and orthodontics, ultimately shaping her work philosophy around utilizing comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and above all, preventive methods. Her belief in the value of "continuity of care" grants her a curious, skilled eye, enabling the development of meticulousness required for successful results, case by case. She is a Biomimetic certified dentist and is deeply devoted to the practice of preserving integral tooth structures. Dr. Navab has been an Invisalign provider since 2015. Her areas of interest include occlusion, biomechanics, adhesion, periodontics, and facial aesthetics.

Dr. Navab is a member of American Academy of Biomimetics, American Academy of General Dentistry, International Academy of Aesthetics and participates in a spectrum of continuing education courses and study clubs.

A Maryland resident of many years, Dr. Navab is married and has two children. She is a certified yoga instructor (with a special interest in body alignment), passionate world traveler, avid reader, writer, and an enthusiastic calligrapher. Dr. Navab is trained in leadership development skills by C.T.I. and regularly volunteers her time to design and deliver specific workshops for middle and high school students of different age groups.

MEET DR. EVAN PADOUSIS, D.D.S.

Evan Padousis, DDS

Dr. Evan Padousis is a Rosedale, MD dentist. He graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Science in 1993. In 1997, he earned his degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, College of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, Dr. Padousis received an award for Endodontics.

After completing his post-graduate training at York Hospital in Pennsylvania, he began working at Rosedale Family Dentistry in 1998.

Dr. Padousis has completed training in Invisalign® and in the Hornbrook Group’s Ultimate Occlusion Program. He is an active participant in the Greater Chesapeake Study Club. In 2013 and in 2014, he was recognized as one of Baltimore’s Best Dentists by Baltimore Magazine.

MEET DR. STAVROS PAPAERACLEOUS (PAPPAS), D.D.S.

Stavros Papaeracleous, DDS

Dr. Stavros Papaeracleous (Pappas) was born in Cyprus and came to the United States later in life. In 1980, he graduated from UMBC with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1984, he earned his degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, College of Dental Surgery.

After graduation, Dr. Pappas began working at the Dental Center in Perry Hall, MD. In March of 1994, he joined Rosedale Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. and has been helping our patients have healthier, more beautiful smiles ever since. Dr. Pappas is now a Rosedale, MD dentist who helps provide comprehensive, comfortable dental care to patients of all ages.

MEET DR. SHALINI SETHI, D.D.S.

Shalini Sethi, DDS

Dr. Shalini Sethi, DDS, is a Rosedale, MD dentist and fellowship-trained periodontist. Dr. Sethi specializes in placing all types of dental implants and treating all stages of periodontal disease. She has years of experience in providing patients with periodontal surgery, dental implants, and oral cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Sethi earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology at the University of Maryland in College Park. After completing her undergraduate education, Dr. Sethi enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery.

After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Sethi completed a general practice residency at the Miami Veteran Affairs Hospital. Then, she completed a specialty fellowship in periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Today, Dr. Sethi is a leading provider of individualized, high-quality periodontal health care. As a key member of our team of providers, Dr. Sethi works towards helping patients achieve excellent oral health and reach their smile goals.

In her free time, Dr. Sethi stays active with yoga and pilates. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
